Dr Oz spoke about stress reducing teas including Hawthorn Tea, Eleutherococcus Tea and Passionflower Tea.
Pina LoGiudice said she liked tea because they help you connect with your mind and body and are very relaxing in any stressful situation. Teas are also healthy for your body.
Dr Oz: Passionflower Tea for Stress
Passionflower tea hails from the US and is great for eliminating anxiety. Pina warned that passionflower tea is a bit of a sedative, so it will make you sleepy. For best results, try drinking 1 cup at night after a stressed day right before bedtime. It’s soothing and light and goes down easy. Doctor Oz had audience members try a sip (remember, it’s sedative) and she stated she liked the taste and would try this tea to help her fall asleep at night.
Dr Oz: Eleutherococcus Tea for Stress
This tea hails from Siberia. Eleutherococcus tea is great for the person with a Type A personality because it helps fight nervousness and fidgeting. Pina suggested drinking eleutherococcus tea earlier in the day to help get you going.
Dr Oz: Hawthorn Tea for Stress
This tea comes from England and is part of the rose family. Originally, Hawthorn tea was studied for cardiovascular effects. This tea is high in flavonids and a great soother for emotional stress. Hawthorn tea doesn’t contain any sedative properties, so you can enjoy a cup morning noon and night. Hawthorn tea is also safe for children.
