Dr Oz: Fix Or Fail Lab
Dr Oz kicked off his show with “the best, next-level solutions to solving your body problems.” It was his “Fix or Fail” lab and he brought in experts to test hot new ideas. Running the experiments was Dr Michael Roizen. Dr Oz was also joined by Lori Greiner, from Shark Tank, who said it’s incredibly important to know the efficacy of a product as well as the quality. Especially if it’s a product that you put on or in your body, you need to make sure it passes all the laws and regulations required to test if it’s safe.
Dr Oz: Coffee Grounds For Cellulite?
First, Dr Oz wanted to look at one of the most popular at-home cellulite solutions in his Fix or Fail lab. Do coffee grounds really work to reduce the appearance of cellulite? Tia Brown explained that the posts say to use coffee grounds, coconut or olive oil, and then sugar combined, as an application. The theory is that the caffeine in the coffee will tighten the skin, while the coarse texture will exfoliate the skin.
It was explained that cellulite occurs at the deepest layer of the skin and this scrub is only reaching the surface of the skin. Because the science isn’t behind this home remedy, Dr Oz’s team labeled it a fail. Tia Brown, a life coach and licensed therapist, explained that there’s an FDA-approved procedure called Cellfina that is a “game changer” because it actually gets under the suface to get rid of cellulite.
Dr Oz: Cellfina For Cellulite
Dr Oz explained that there are bands that connect the skin to the fascia, which is important. Fat accumulates and pulls on those bands, causing those dimples on the back of your legs. To cure cellulite, you have to stretch the skin and snap those bands, getting rid of the dimpling. Dr Oz showed some before and after pictures, proving that the procedure seems to really work.
Tia explained that it’s minimally invasive and is best for those with bumpy or dimply cellulite. To find out if it could work for you, talk to your dermatologist. The results are long-lasting, so it’s a definite fix.
Dr Oz: Ice Cold Lemon Water For Ice Breath
Next, Dr Oz wanted to tackle bad breath with Dr Michael Roizen. Parsley definitely didn’t work to get rid of his bad breath, but he said lemon with ice water did. Dr Roizen explained that all youhave to do is drink it, maybe with a little gargling, and you’re good to go. The solution was actually tested using a bad-breath measuring device. This is a great, easy way to get rid of your worst, bad breath!
Did you know it was that simple to get rid of bad breath? What other remedies are your go-to’s?
