Dr Oz: Healthy Low-Calorie Snacks
Counting calories can be one of the most confusing parts of weight loss. In a poll conducted on Dr Oz’s website, it was found that more than half of his viewers feel “starving” and “miserable” when counting calories. That’s exactly why Dr Oz turned to three nutrition experts to find out their snack secrets to eating more and maximizing calories: Sharon Richter, Keri Glassman, and Kristin Kirkpatrick.

First, he heard from nutritionist Kristin Kirkpatrick. Kristin shared a great hack for anyone looking for a little crunchy, salty, and slightly sweet snack. Her go-to treat is skinless popcorn. As Kristin explained, most conventional popcorns are popped using heat, salt, oil, and butter. But skinless popcorn has no salt, no oil, and no butter which means you can eat the entire bag if you want because the entire bag is just 198 calories!
Dr Oz: Healthy, Low-Calorie Frozen Treats
Sharon Richter, a registered dietitian, had a great secret for healthier ice cream. For a sweet snack without the calorie damage, visit the frozen aisle. First, she recommended Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Popsicle Bars because they’re just 60 calories each. With four pops in a box you could eat the entire box of bars without feeling guilty. They’re made from fruit and a bit of organic sugar cane.
She also really likes Halo Top ice cream as well as Wink and Arctic Zero frozen treats which range from 150 to 250 calories for the whole pint.
Dr Oz: Freeze-Dried Fruits & Vegetables
For those who want something a little savory, Keri Glassman has just the treat for you. She loves freeze-dried fruits and vegetables. The only ingredient in the bag is the fruit or vegetable themselves, no additives. Sometimes you can eat the entire bag for under 100 calories!
You can find freeze-dried strawberries, pineapples, corn, and more!
