Dr Oz: Cheap, Fast Fix For Dry Cracked Hands
Now, more than ever, we all need to make our dollar stretch. Dr Oz knows that the high cost of health care can be a big burden, which is why he wanted to save you money. He’s saved his $1 fast fixes before, helping his viewers save money while taking care of their health during the summer, but now he wanted to help them out this winter. He asked his viewers to submit their top fast fixes that cost just $1, and he selected his favorite to share on the show.
First was Denise, who had a fast fix for dry and cracked hands during the winter. She made an aloe stress ball with two parts cornstarch and one part aloe. It makes it into a sort-of clay once you mix it thoroughly. She likes to use it to massage her joints to help with arthritis, and the aloe is also good for her skin. It can also help with stress!
Dr Oz: Eliminate Winter Dandruff
Another viewer, Jennifer, submitted a home video revealing her fast fix to get rid of winter dandruff. She washes her hair as normal and then instead of using conditioner, she mixes mouth wash and baby oil on her scalp. She leaves it on for five minutes and then rinses it out. Dr Oz explained that it actually works if your dandruff is caused by a fungus because the alcohol kills the fungus and prevents it from spreading. Jennifer’s before and after pictures proved that it really works!
Dr Oz: $1 Fast Fixes For Shoveling Snow, Congestion & Migraines
Next, Dr Oz called down a couple who had a $1 fast fix for shoveling snow, which was non-stick cooking spray. Simply spray your shovel thoroughly and then head out to shovel the snow, because the snow won’t stick on your shovel!
Dr Oz then revealed his own fast fixes for dealing with the winter cold. If you have congestion, try horseradish. Let a sliver of raw horseradish sit on your tongue for as long as you can. If you suffer from migraines, try a migraine milkshake made with riboflavin.
