Dr Oz: Lifestyle Expert Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad went from reality TV star to a lifestyle expert. Lauren Conrad is full of good advice, but she’ll never suggest something she’s never tried for herself. She joined Dr Oz, who claimed that everyone on his staff agrees that Lauren is the “new Martha Stewart” of her generation. Lauren laughed, saying Martha is likely much better in the kitchen than she is. Lauren acknowledged that social media creates a lot of pressure for women to look a certain way, but admitted that she’s guilty of even using SnapChat!
Because Lauren practically serves as her own guinea pig, Dr Oz was curious about the craziest thing she had ever tried. Lauren admitted that she tried the Master Cleanse, which involves drinking lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup mixed with water. Dr Oz pointed out that the cleanse itself actually isn’t very good for weight loss. For Lauren to stay thin, she does it the old-fashioned way, eating healthy foods and trying to not eat too much.

Dr Oz: Should You Try Slimming Body Wraps
Dr Oz then wanted to ask Lauren about an extreme weight loss trend, slimming body wraps. Lauren admitted that she’s actually a fan of them, especially as a quick fix before a big event, because they help you lose a good amount of water weight. She explained that the trend involves slathering your body or problem areas like the thighs or stomach with cocoa, cayenne pepper, seaweed, or more. You then wrap yourself up in a warm, wet ace bandage, all over. Then apply saran wrap on top of that and you basically sweat out all the water weight. Lauren once tried it and lost three pounds of water weight, which she gained back a day later, but helped for that night!
Dr Oz: Easy Tips For Throwing A Great Party
Lauren Conrad recently published “Celebrate” in which she gives great advice for throwing fantastic parties. Lauren explained that she first likes to create a vision board to help her plan, and typically follows the rules, especially when it comes to a wedding or shower. You also shouldn’t be afraid to delegate and ask your friends to help out.
It’s also important to set a budget, and Lauren recommended at least a 10% buffer just in case you have any extra unexpected costs. Parties are truly about getting together with people you love, so the more relaxed you are, the better the party will be.
When it comes to the food, don’t be afraid to serve healthy food, to allow your guests to enjoy good food without blowing their diets. Lauren suggested a dip like green hummus with fresh vegetables instead of a high-calorie dip. During the summer, you can turn iced tea into low-calorie popsicles! If you don’t have a bartender, you can make one cocktail in a big batch, and then separate it into mason jars with lids, and keep them on ice. It looks beautiful and is a great way to save yourself time and money!
Dr Oz: Workout Advice For Busy Women
A woman in the audience asked Lauren about making time for exercise. Lauren loves going on walking meetings, in order to make the time to exercise while working. She also likes to cram an hour workout into 30 minutes whenever possible. Basically, for thirty minutes, you don’t stop moving, and you go back and forth from one exercise to cardio and back, to get a full workout done in half the time!
