Dr Oz: What Is The Regimen?
If you’ve ever wished that someone could just give you a checklist of everything you need to do each day for optimal health, your wish is about to come true. Dr Oz made things simple with what he called The Regimen. He put together the latest in science in medicine to share exactly what you should eat, take, and do to be at your healthiest.
The regimen includes food to optimize your gut, tea to supercharge your metabolism, activity to keep your brain young, and the nutrients you need to lower your risk for disease.

Dr Oz then introduced Dr Frank Lipman, Dr Sharon Moalem, Haylie Pomroy, Dr Jennifer Caudle, and Laila Ali, all members of his Regimen Team! Dr Lipman stressed the importance of structure, because it creates habits, which lead to better health. Dr Caudle pointed out that there a lot of things happening in our world that we can’t control, but we can control what happens with our own bodies, like what we eat and the exercise we get.
To customize The Regimen to fit your health goals, you’ll first start with a foundation, a checklist with specific things to do every day to stay healthy. From there, you’ll create your own personal plan using the add-on’s Dr Oz will introduce in upcoming episodes of his show. You’ll develop a plan to help you revitalize and energize, fight disease and prevent aging, strengthen and slim, or all three. Even better, you’ll be able to take The Regimen with you everywhere and share with other users through the Dr Oz app.
Dr Oz: Oolong Tea + Prebiotics & Probiotics For Optimal Health
Dr Oz began by revealing The Regimen Foundation, which is seven simple things to do every day. First, was drinking oolong tea twice a day. Oolong tea is rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, and it’s calorie-free. Additionally, oolong tea can help speed up your metabolism while binding with fatty compounds in the gut, preventing them from being absorbed. Oolong tea has been shown to actually help prevent and minimize belly fat.
As for what you should eat, you’ll want 1 C probiotics and 4 C of prebiotics each day to feed those good bacteria. Great probiotics include kimchi, sauerkraut, miso, kefir, buttermilk, and natural yogurt. Prebiotics like tomatoes, asparagus (particularly the stalks), onions, lentils, broccoli, and avocado.
You also want to eat 1/4 C nuts and unlimited olive oil to reduce inflammation. All are great sources of healthy fats you want in your diet. Additionally, add 2 tbsp of herbs and alliums to your diet each day to prevent cancer. Try oregano, garlic, onions, leeks, turmeric, and more. Dr Oz also suggested that you take a daily multivitamin every day to make up for the vitamins and minerals you’re not getting in your diet.
Dr Oz: Regimen App To Stay On Track
Some great meal ideas include a smoothie with berries, leafy greens with olive oil, a snack of almonds, or chicken with vegetables. Dr Oz was thrilled to announce the Dr Oz app, which is completely free and available on nearly every smart phone. Every time you complete a task, you can click an actual “I Did It” button to feel accomplished. You can also use the food library on the app to come up with meal ideas using the foods you need to eat on the regimen! Additionally, the app can provide you with motivating notifications to keep you going.
